There are many different third-party software codecs, also known simply as "soft codecs," available today. These allow for audio and audio-video distance conferencing to occur through a web interface, downloadable software application, or some combination of these. We as Proscene are now deploying cheaper Conferencing solutions to our customers to enable them use Skype, Lync, Gotomeeting, BlueJeans, WebEx and Google Hangouts as an alternative to the traditional Video Conference Codecs using Devio, Vaddio and Polycom Trio.
